Account & Subscription
Create an account, update your configuration, and switch between devices.
View account overview →Do I need an email address to create an account?
You can create an account with a username and password—no email address required. Save your username and choose a password you don’t use on other sites. Since there’s no email address for account recovery, keep your login details somewhere safe. Use your account to view plans, get client apps, manage your subscription, and submit support tickets. After creating your account, make sure you can access the dashboard before choosing a plan or viewing client setup guides. Never include your password in troubleshooting screenshots or share account details in public forums.
How do I update my subscription link, and when should I import it again?
Sign in to the user dashboard and find your current subscription link in the account overview. Then open the subscription or configuration settings in your client and select the update option. Once the update completes, check that your route list appears normally, then try connecting. If the client says the link has expired, use the current link shown in the dashboard, replace the old configuration, and update again. Don’t keep importing an expired link. Your subscription link grants access to your account, so don’t share it publicly. When submitting a support ticket, describe the update result without pasting the full link.
Do I need to buy another plan when I switch devices?
VPNBeta supports unlimited devices, so switching devices alone doesn’t mean you need to choose another plan. Sign in to the same account on your new device, get the client app for that platform from the dashboard, and import your current subscription using the guide. Supported platforms include Windows / macOS / iOS / Android / Linux; menu names may vary by platform. Unlimited devices doesn’t mean unlimited data, so check your remaining plan or data-pack balance before use. When you stop using an old device, sign out and delete any subscription configuration saved locally.
My plan is active. Why does the client still show an old route or data usage?
First, distinguish account details in the dashboard from data cached locally by the client. Refresh your plan and usage information in the dashboard, and confirm your account and plan status. Then manually update the subscription in the client, wait for it to finish, and select a route again. Old usage shown in the client doesn’t necessarily mean your plan hasn’t taken effect, so don’t pay again for that reason. If the dashboard and client still don’t match, note the affected platform, the client’s message, and what you did, then submit a support ticket. Hide your username, subscription link, and other account access details before sharing screenshots.
Connections & Troubleshooting
Narrow down the issue step by step, from your local network to the target app.
Review connection steps →The client says it’s connected, but websites won’t load. What should I check first?
Disconnect the client first and check that your local network can access the sites you normally use. If the local network itself is having problems, fix that before continuing. Reconnect to your chosen route and test both a browser and the target app to see whether everything fails or only a specific service. Check that the system proxy or network permissions required by the client are enabled, and temporarily quit other tools that may be taking control of your network. Then update your subscription and test another route. Change just one setting at a time and keep track of the results so you can identify the cause.
Why does my browser work, but a particular app won’t use the proxy?
Apps handle network connections differently. Some don’t follow the system proxy, or routing rules may send them directly. Check the client’s current mode and which rules apply to confirm whether the target app or domain is routed through the proxy. If the client offers a virtual network adapter or system-wide routing mode, follow the guide for your platform to check permissions and compatibility before testing. After changing the configuration, fully quit and reopen the target app so it doesn’t reuse an old connection. A working network connection doesn’t guarantee access to a service’s regional features, account, or eligibility.
Subscription update failed or import returned an error. What should I do?
First, make sure you can sign in to the dashboard and find your current subscription link. Check that the copied text is complete and doesn’t contain extra spaces or other text. Use the import method provided in the dashboard; don’t paste a configuration in a different format into your client. If the update request fails, disconnect and try again, then check that your local network is working. If you see a configuration-format error, note the exact message and check that the client supports the import method you’re using. If the issue persists, submit a support ticket with a screenshot of the error and your platform details. Don’t include the full subscription link.
My connection keeps dropping. What information should I gather before submitting a support ticket?
Note whether disconnections happen after switching networks, putting your device to sleep, or sending an app to the background. Check whether your system restricts the client’s background activity. Keep other settings unchanged while testing different routes and local networks, and record whether the issue occurs with a particular route or network. In your support ticket, include your operating system, selected region and route type, when the issue occurred, the error message, and what you’ve already tried. Share only log excerpts relevant to the issue, and hide passwords, subscription links, and other sensitive details before sending them so support can investigate.
Speed & Routes
Compare real-world app performance, not just route names or speed-test results.
View route details →It slows down during peak hours. Should I switch regions or route types?
On the same local network, compare other routes in the same region first to see whether the issue is limited to your current path. Then consider switching regions or route types. Keep the target app and content the same, and compare loading, playback, and disconnections rather than relying on a single speed test. Peak-hour performance can be affected by your local network, cross-border routes, and the target service’s load; a route name alone can’t guarantee a particular experience. If things remain slow across routes, check whether other devices are using your local network and include your comparison results in a support ticket.
How should I choose between IEPL, relayed, and direct routes?
Route types describe the connection path. Choose based on what you need to do and how each option performs on your local network. First check which region the target service requires, then compare the available IEPL, relayed, or direct routes in that region. See whether the connection is stable and the target page loads normally. Don’t assume a route type will be faster on every network just because of its name, or expect a route change to fix every app issue. For more on how regions and paths differ, see the route information on the nodes page, then test again under the same conditions.
Which regions are covered, and does that guarantee access to every streaming service and AI tool?
VPNBeta covers 120+ countries / 190+ routes. Check the dashboard or client for the routes currently available. Access to a platform may also depend on your exit region, account region, content rights, payment details, and the platform’s risk controls. A successful network connection doesn’t guarantee access to every platform or piece of content. If you see a regional restriction, check the service’s official requirements, then confirm that your current exit region matches the one you need. Troubleshoot streaming and AI tools separately; access to other websites alone doesn’t identify the cause.
My speed test looks fine, but videos buffer or look worse. What can I do?
A speed test may use a different destination and content delivery path than a video platform, so its results alone don’t reflect playback quality. Check the video app’s quality settings, your account benefits, and your device’s playback capabilities, then compare the same content on other routes. Keep your local network and device conditions consistent during testing, and avoid transferring large files at the same time. If only one platform has a problem, note its message, the selected region, and the route, then continue troubleshooting with the streaming guide. Don’t keep switching exit regions just to chase a higher speed-test result.
Billing & Refunds
Review the billing terms, then check your order. If a payment looks wrong, avoid repeating it.
How much does a monthly plan cost, and when does data reset?
Monthly plans are ¥9.9/month for 60GB, ¥18/month for 250GB, and ¥28/month for 500GB. Data resets monthly on your activation date, not at the start of each calendar month. Mid-cycle upgrades are prorated based on the remaining days. Estimate your data needs based on everyday browsing, file transfers, and video use, and check your current plan status in the dashboard before choosing. If you plan to upgrade, review the order details and proration shown in the dashboard before proceeding. Don’t assume the difference between listed plan prices is the amount you’ll actually owe.
How do data packs differ from monthly plans, and how long do they last?
Data packs are ¥158/300GB, ¥358/1000GB, and ¥658/3000GB. They last until the data is used and never expire. Monthly plans reset data each month on your activation date and are billed differently. If you use the service occasionally, compare the data-pack terms; if you use it regularly, review the monthly plans against your usage. Never expires refers to the data pack’s validity period—it doesn’t mean unlimited data or automatic top-ups. If you already have a plan, review the dashboard details before choosing another product. If you’re unsure how that affects your existing benefits, ask through a support ticket.
Which payment methods are supported, and what should I do if nothing changes after payment?
We accept Alipay / WeChat Pay / USDT. Start the order and payment process from the user dashboard, and check the plan and amount shown on the page. After paying, return to the dashboard and check your order status and plan details. If they haven’t updated, refresh the page; don’t pay again just because the client still shows old information. If your payment record and dashboard status don’t match, submit a support ticket with your order details, payment result, and a description of the issue so support can investigate. Include only what’s needed to resolve the order, hide unrelated payment details in screenshots, and don’t post payment receipts publicly.
How do I request a refund, and what information should I include?
VPNBeta offers a 30-day no-questions-asked refund. To request one, sign in to the user dashboard, open a support ticket, say that you’d like a refund, and provide the relevant order details so the payment and plan can be checked. See the refund policy and terms of service for eligibility details. You don’t need to cite a connection issue as your reason or complete all troubleshooting before requesting a refund. Don’t include your account password or full subscription link in the ticket. Follow the ticket for updates, and check replies in the dashboard; processing times may vary.
